She\u2019s Canada\u2019s answer to Brene Brown! Dr Rumeet Billan shared that of the jobs that will exist in 2030, 85% of them do not exist today.  *Massive* implications here: personally, professionally, in our companies, our economies, and countries. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> She spoke eloquently about building resilience, or the ability to overcome adversity, setbacks and transitions and coming out the other side.  Resilient companies are great, where we focused a decade ago.  Nowadays, she said, we are focused on personal resilience.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> Once you develop that, you can go through anything.  Technical skills are great but the best predictor for navigating transitions successfully? Resilience.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lately I&#8217;ve been really thinking about frontline employees and their capacity to transform a company. When companies invest in their people they&#8217;re giving them the ability to thrive in the face of change.  They can handle more responsibility and exercise more autonomy.  They&#8217;re more resilient. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Resilience is crucial now in 2018 and will be more so  as we head toward 2030 and more rapid shifts and transitions.
