It is such a relief for your team when you as a manufacturing leader set up a really clear definition of success. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> You are inviting them to step forward and into it.  But it&#8217;s not always that easy.  When things don&#8217;t work, some blame their team or the tools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But there are simple things you can do to set your team up for success. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The biggest obstacle is not knowing what to work on.  When you clear that up by choosing a metric and a target, and you&#8217;re off to an excellent start.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Next, give them room to work on the problem &#8212; don&#8217;t over-steer or overload them.  Let them figure out the how. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> Give them the access they need,  even if it seems like small stuff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So what do you think about as a manufacturing leader when you&#8217;re setting goals for your team?
